The Teammachine SLR 01 Gen 5 is a much lighter package with 222g saved over the previous generation. Stiffness numbers are similar as BMC always target Pro rider needs and this hasn‘t changed since 2020. Stiffness is identical between Teammachine SLR 01 Gen 4, Gen 5 and Teammachine R 01. System‘s Aerodynamic (bike+rider) has been improved a lot over the past
generation. The Gen 5 is 2.2% faster than the Gen 4.

If we look at bike only, the difference is 12% making the Teammachine SLR 01 is only 4% slower than Teammachine R 01. Making it the fastest climbing bike on the market from BMC‘s testing.

Tire clearance has been increase from 30mm to 32mm.
